I can't print out anything from Microsoft Works Spreadsheet. It says there is no default printer selected when I click Print. If I click Print Preview it says my printer driver is not installed. I can print from all other programs and also can print letters, envelopes and labels from Microsoft Works Word Processor. I have checked the control panel and I do have my default printer selected. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?
Microsoft Works, No Printer Driver?

Microsoft Internet Explorer/Outlook Help?
Microsoft Internet Explorer %26amp; Outlook Help?
Hello. I use a web based version of Microsoft Outlook for work. Whenever I try to send an email using the web based from my home computer, I get this error: "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close".
I could use it before fine until I bought a new computer and upgraded to IE 7. I am assuming its a setting that needs to be changed but I don't a clue where to start. Any help and suggestions are greatly apperciated!

Microsoft Internet Explorer/Outlook Help?
That's a recurring problem with IE7. There isn't anything you can change, except to uninstall IE7 and let it revert back to IE6. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and the Show updates box at the top. When the list loads, find Internet Explorer 7 and click to remove it. After removal, close Control Panel and restart the computer. I think you'll find this problem has gone away!

just reinstall all your office office applications... or remove it by the uninstall program and re install your office software
Reply:Type "winword.exe /a" in the RUN box....this will launch Word in safe mode...when inside see if you can possibly shut down any potential plugins...

Microsoft Works word processor help needed?
I used Microsoft Works word processor for my CV. I am now not sure how I can send it to people who don't have Microsoft Works. I have applied for a job and they sent me an email to say they could not open my CV as they do not have the same program. I need some help to how I can possiblY transfer my cv so I can just attach to an email regardless of what program they are using.
Microsoft Works word processor help needed?
I would say you can convert your work document into pdf format. That's the standard for sending word documents over internet.
You can download the software from http://download.foxitsoftware.com/addon/... or http://www.adobe.com/go/tryacrobat_pro_w...
Reply:You need to purchase word 2003 or 2007 and get on with it
Reply:Hi I realize I am a little late in answering you but here is what should be the easiest for you. Install a Free (and it has no scumware/spyware in it so it is indeed safe) printer that instead of printing to a printer it prints to a *.pdf file instead. As you know PDF is Portable Document Format and can be read by anyone who has a computer... There are two that I am aware of at this time. CutePDF is one and the other PDF Creator is for more advanced needs and can merge several documents together into one PDF file. The websites for both of these are in the source list below. Once installed you go to File, then Print and instead of using your regular printer you select from the menu "CutePDF Writer" printer or the other "PDF Creator".
I have both installed on my computer and use them all the time now...
Good luck getting that awesome job!!!!
Shoot me an enail if you need help getting these installed and working...

Reply:Most people prefer to receive CVs in MS Word (doc) or PDF format. IIRC, Works doesn't support either of these formats.
I suggest you save in RTF format (File %26gt; Save As and pick Rich Text Format from the Type menu near the filename entry box), and then open it in OpenOffice.org (a free download from http://www.openoffice.org/ ), reformat it to make sure it looks good (as a little formatting may be lost in the conversation to RTF) and then save it as MS Word format (File %26gt; Save As, type box again), and PDF format (File %26gt; Export as PDF).
Reply:When you save your document, choose Save As. I believe you can change the type to .doc or something close to Word. See if this works for you.
Reply:have you tried ,to copy and paste the letter /cv onto either your e.mail, or notepad, open your letter in microsoft works, right click and select all, everything should go blue then click copy, open notepad, click paste on notepad, and a copy of your cv should be on notepad, or compose a e mail after the same copy proccess, click paste and your cv should copy, into it, good luck.
Reply:When you save the file, if you click on 'Save As', then this will let you save a different format.
Other people probably use the '.doc' format.
Reply:hi,
it may be, you should easily copy that file in your mail ID and then send to them or you can also watch there ping no. and transfer that file from your computer to there computer

Sony vs Microsoft?
Why is it that everyone seems to love Micro$oft but hate Sony. Everybody says that Sony is just money hungry and expensive and takes advantage of consumers whether it be the PS3, BlueRay, etc... It is not like Micro$oft is some little underdog company fighting the big bad Sony, I find them just as bad if not worse than Sony. Microsoft plays dirty to keep competition out of its markets and is horrible at designing consumer products. Is it really necessary for me to buy an 360, HDDVD add on, X-box live subscription, lower quality HD video and audio output, etc all separate? Yeah Sony charges 600$ for a PS3 but at least everything is built in and streamlined and top of the line in terms of audio and video, without needing giant power bricks and industrial grade ventilation systems. I'm not saying Sony is a saint, they charge me 50$ for a controller and cant give me a 2$ USB cord, but Microsoft is no better. Why is there all there this sudden love for Microsoft and hate for Sony.
Sony vs Microsoft?
its just because anyone that is smart knows that microsoft is so much better i mean Xbox 360 has heaps better games then playstation(halo). sony is losing the console wars big time, eve nintendo wii is beating ps3
Reply:Even the Wii? lol, Wii is kicking 360's *** as well. HD DVD is losing the next gen disc war, so it looks like blu ray is the winner. Just give the PS3 some time, the profits will start churning in. Out of all the consoles it has the most potential. Report It

Help with microsoft office word 2007?
ok so i recently updated the microsoft word to the microsoft office word 2007 and i hate it. is there any way i can get the old version of microsoft word back?
Help with microsoft office word 2007?
try windoiws restore. YOu just have to know when you installed it. and then go back before that date and restore
Reply:You can un-install and re-install the old version, if you have avaliable. I do not believe there is a rollback feature though, you can check in Add / Remove programs.
As for Word 2007, I'd say hold onto it, you'll soon realize the advantages, but at first.. I hated it too..

Microsoft word?
I've been writing this story for about 6 months now, and I'm about done. However I want to transfur it to Microsoft Word. but every time I open Microsoft Word, it keep asking me to enter my "Product Key" before I can continue typing. Anybody know what a "Product Key" is and where I can find it? If not, anybody got any ideas??
Microsoft word?
Sounds like you bought a computer which came with a demo version of Word. You get a limited number of uses, and then you have to buy the software. When you do, you are given a product key which unlocks the software.
If you don't want to pay for it, consider OpenOffice.org, which is compatible, from http://www.openoffice.org/ instead.
Reply:try using open office its free
http://download.openoffice.org/index.htm...
Reply:A product key is supplied on the documentation that came with your PC or with your MS Word CD.
If you installed an illegal copy of MS word then you need to buy it
Reply:That sounds like a trial copy that will be good for 30 or 60 days. If you haven't used it yet, try just pressing Enter and see if that lets you start using it.
Be warned, though, that there doesn't seem to be any warning near the end of the trial period (or at least many people don't see it), after which Word will let you read the files but not edit them or create more.
One solution to recovering any files you would have locked up in Word format at that time would be to download the free Microsoft Compatibility Pack. It lets you use those files with older versions of Word.
Good luck.
Reply:A poduct key is a long number/letter combination that was provided with the software when you bought it, and once entered proves it is actually yours. Obviously Word was installed incorrectly or was a pirate copy. Some places on the net where you can get pirate keys but I wouldn't use one or tell you as it's illegal and when you use PC on Internet Microsoft spy on you! Well not really but it's still not right.

Microsoft outlook?? I am so lost as to how this supposed to work. Please help!?
You might have it manually set to send and receive emails. After you send the email, try to click the button at the top that says "Send/Receive".
Reply:Go to Tools/Email Accounts and set up an email account for Outlook to work with. You either need a hotmail account a POP mail account (usually supplied by your ISP) or an account on an Exchange server.
Bert
Reply:also you might want to check you account settings and make sure the smtp server setting is right, check this with your service provider.

Microsoft Works vs Microsoft word?
In works when i convert my book pages into pdf but the page shows a page and half of the next page of the same page it's not showing the pages by themselves page after page.
On Microsoft word, they tell me it's better,
Microsoft Works vs Microsoft word?
Word is a lot better, but you have to purchase it, and Works comes free with a lot of PCs. Last year I spent a lot of time writing a research paper in Works, then when I emailed it to my professor, she couldn't open the attachment, so I had to print it out and take it to her. Also, if you get an office-type job, they want you to know Word, not Works.

Microsoft Office how to change name of Product Licencing ?
Hi. Say when we open Microsoft word, and go to help, and about microsoft office word, it opens up a window which shows the licence agreement, alongwith the name of the person who installed office and put their, also the cd-key / licence # and the company name. Now the problem is that the same name comes to the properties of the documents created. Does anybody knows how to change that name, so that the documents I write can show myself as the author of the document. Thanks.

Here's a link to the directions from Microsoft on how to change that info. I would write down the registration key first, you will later be prompted for it.

if you have the microsoft office install cd, use that to "repair" or just "reinstall" word and any other office utilities you use seeing how they are also probably affected
also, keep in mind, that you could do a system restore from the control panel
you can find this at control panel, system, system restore
do this to a date where you are completely 100% positive that your microsoft word was working fine.
this should solve your problem, if not, contact your computer company that you purchased your hardware from and they should send you a reinstall cd for the office if you bought your computer from them with office on it.
hope these work for you
Reply:You could switch to use the free OpenOffice.org Writer. Download it from www.openoffice.org or get its latest CD from local distributors.
Reply:Reinstall it from the Word cd. If you can't find that, then just use OpenOffice instead...it's essentially the same. You can download it for free here:
http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.0/ind...
Reply:If you still have the installation cd from Microsoft Office you should be able to reinstall it and enter the code for it to work.
Reply:you can do a system restore. Go to control panel and click performance and maintenance and it should be there and just choose a date. That is if you allow system restore. If that doesn't work you should have a cd of Microsoft Office so, you can try to re-install it.

5500 FREE games and programs, drivers included, upto 50X faster computing, and none of the "114,000 Microsoft Virus Definitions" are a great persuasion factor.
Plus, the fact that it can run as a LiveCDrom, without ever touching the hard drive, is great for the visiting children, so they can't screw up your files.

PCLinuxOS has to be the most complete, easiest free system, ever! Comes with the complete Office suite that reads and writes ALL Microsoft formatted products back to 1986.
Reply:downloaded XP?
check the folder where you downloaded it to and look for the setup file....if it truly is a copy of XP it'll open up to the options menu where you can select to install XP, Learn More about the setup process, Install optional components, perform additional tasks, or browse this cd.
you'll need to have a product key, and since its an upgrade, leave the current file system intact, otherwise you'll lose all your files.

Reply:If it was an Upgrade, and legit, you can get a Bootdisk at bootdisk.com
Then you can read abunch about that at langa.com
After you have the XP on the Hard Drive, or Multiple Partitions, then you can Boot into it at startup, you will be presented with a screen to register your copy. Read the EULA, if you agree, continue on.
Bear in mind, that everything you do or erase from ME is lost forever. So make a backup of anything you think is important.
You are permitted to make ONE backup of XP. Keep it safe and update it often.
Reply:if your at a dos prompt type
dir rtlnic51.sys /w/a/s
and it'll find the file and display where it is.
If your in windows do a search for the file and that'll show you as well.
Good luck.
Reply:Best thing to do id copy it to a bootable cdrom and then bootup and run the setup.
Reply:the best thing to do is a clean boot f your disk sumtimes you run into problems when you install a later verion of windows over a earlier one
Microsoft xp?
XP driver hell is only part of the reason I switched entirely to http://pclinuxos.com
5500 FREE games and programs, drivers included, upto 50X faster computing, and none of the "114,000 Microsoft Virus Definitions" are a great persuasion factor.

Microsoft Outlook and access to newgroups?
I seem to only have access to the Microsoft Community newsgroups. I remember, a long time ago I was able to bring up this massive list of various newsgroups (not Microsoft related) I was using Outlook or Express then, but I don't remember how to do that now.
How do I access those newsgroups though Outlook nowadays?
Thanks
Microsoft Outlook and access to newgroups?
Does your ISP support Usenet (NTTP). These days many do not.
In any event Outlook must be configured with the correct NTTP server information. For example news@xyz.com.
Your email server settings (POP3 and SMPT) will not work to access newsgroups. NTTP settings should be on your ISPs 'Help' on their homepage.

Microsoft help....?
Hi,
ok i have a problem with my microsoft i think! when someone sends me an e-mail which i have to open in microsoft it says "paint can not read the file. "
please help its needed!!!!!
Microsoft help....?
Sounds like you may be trying to open up a file that either has the wrong extension or perhaps you accidentally set paint up to handle the email extension that your program uses.
Can you tell me what programs you are using? And if you are able to open up the email at all? or does this error occur when you go to open up the email immediately?
Reply:You are very welcome.. Glad that you were able to fix it. Good Luck and have a great Week! Report It
Reply:Aquariu…It means your painshop cannot read the specific file. let your senders send your the email in a different format.
By the way, your avatar is awesome. If you look like that in person, then OMG, I want to meet you, baby.
Reply:paint can't open emails. try microsoft word or outlook.

Microsoft Word?
When you have the ability to send an e-mail after completing a cover letter or resume', how can you go back and make sure it was sent through Microsoft Word? Is there memory for this?
I could send it through regualr e-mail but Microsoft Word gave me much more professional options.
Thanks!
Microsoft Word?
Create your cover letter and resume, then save it. With any email, select the option to attach your document. After it has been uploaded, check your outgoing/sent items in email. It will have a recording of the outgoing mail. In addition, your document will arrive as you sent it, in its original MS Word form.
Reply:Actually it is not sent to MS-Word directly but as an attachment from where your e-mail address keeps it... Open your e-mail address and check it over there..
Reply:Not quite sure what you want. Have you thought of sending the word document as an attachment?

Microsoft frontpage and microsoft publisher help!?
What is the difference between microsoft frontpage and publisher? I mostly use frontpage and I am making a website, but how can I punlish that site? I really need help!
Microsoft frontpage and microsoft publisher help!?
I don't really know the difference between both. But frontpage is a easy tool for making webpages. After finishing your website you can save it on your hard disk. Then you can upload the whole thing to a free web hosting site using FTP. http://we.bs is a good free hosting site and it offers FTP also. So it's very easy 2 upload.

Microsoft Word 2003 n 2007?

Reply:False. Word 2007 can read Word 2003 files with ease. Word 2003, however, can't read Word 2007 files without Microsoft's free Compatibility pack.
