Microsoft Word, PLEASE help?!!!?

I had to do a PC Recovery for my computer because it wouldnt start up at all. I had to change some settings of my computer back to normal, but now I cant use Microsoft Word!





When I try to open it, it would say "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed".





How do I get Microsoft Word back???


Do I have to download it?


I tried to find where I can download it, but I dont want to pay for it. Please help, I need this program so I can do my homework!

if you have the microsoft office install cd, use that to "repair" or just "reinstall" word and any other office utilities you use seeing how they are also probably affected





also, keep in mind, that you could do a system restore from the control panel





you can find this at control panel, system, system restore





do this to a date where you are completely 100% positive that your microsoft word was working fine.





this should solve your problem, if not, contact your computer company that you purchased your hardware from and they should send you a reinstall cd for the office if you bought your computer from them with office on it.

Reply:You could switch to use the free OpenOffice.org Writer. Download it from www.openoffice.org or get its latest CD from local distributors.
Reply:Reinstall it from the Word cd. If you can't find that, then just use OpenOffice instead...it's essentially the same. You can download it for free here:

Reply:If you still have the installation cd from Microsoft Office you should be able to reinstall it and enter the code for it to work.
Reply:you can do a system restore. Go to control panel and click performance and maintenance and it should be there and just choose a date. That is if you allow system restore. If that doesn't work you should have a cd of Microsoft Office so, you can try to re-install it.
