Microsoft Works suite 2005?

i have Microsoft Works suite 2005 and it came with Microsoft word 2002 but when i try to install just word it wont work this is what comes up when i install it and try to use it











the works task launcher cannot access the task you selected. files needed to start program may be missing, corrupted, or may have been deleted. to restore or replace the files, reinstall the program, and then try starting the program again.





it came with dell





is there something missing??? do i need something else than word???





please i need help!! i really need to use it!! need to get my homework done!

Reply:the same exact thing just happened to me. I tried to install only Microsoft Word from the Microsoft Works suite 2005 disc, and then that same response came up so i thought that it wouldn't work so i uninstalled it. Then nothing from Microsoft worked on my computer so I have to find another way to get Microsoft word like from the Internet or something.
Reply:ooooooo i know wat it is! i had this problem with 'microsoft picture it 9!' and the problem was that dell give you the program, the bit that you see on the screen (the graphical user interface if u wanna be posh), but they dont give you the bit that actually does stuff! it is just a gimick making you buy the full program!





if u are in the UK, then go to a library. most library's allow free computer access. if not, go to a friends house - i am sure they will let you use their PC!
