i have been using microsoft works word processor to do my cv but when i email it to anyone they say they can not open it is there any way to change the format of it or is there a way to get microsoft word
Microsoft works?
yea there are plenty of ways to get microsoft word... some of them free some of them cost money...
torrents will get you a free one...
you might could buy one off ebay or go to best buy
Reply:you can get microsoft word from microsoft webpage.
officeupdate.microsoft.com
Reply:When you save the document, choose the option of saving as a Word Document or RTF format. Others will then be able to open it.
Reply:You could convert your MS Works document into a PDF file - there are free PDF-makers on the web, like www.cutepdf.com
Reply:Anything done in Microsoft Works Word processor can be opened in Word, they simply need to change the file type they are trying to open.
I believe Works saves the file as rich text, when you send your CV add the instruction in the covering e-mail that they will need to select a rich text file type to access the file via Word.
Reply:Check ebay:

Reply:Go to thinkfree.com and it works like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Or when you are saving your work, save it as .txt then they could open it in word or notepad or wordpad.
Reply:I'm afraid you'll have to get Microsoft word see if you can borrow a disc from a friend
Reply:Do a 'save as' and select Rich Text Format (.rtf). This is a universal format for text documents. You could also go online and do searches for MS Word, or go by your local computer store and purchase Word.
Reply:Yes. Purchase Microsoft Word. I believe newer versions of MS Works include Word also
Reply:Works can save documents using RTF format, Word can open those. You may loose some formatting though.
Rather than using Works (which you probably got free with your machine) try Open Office. It's free and can handle Word documents.
