Why does Microsoft make a Microsoft Office for Mac unstead of Apple making their own office programs???

Okay I'm confused. Why does mac have a MS Office. I do remember they use to have appleworks, but what happened to it. Now they have Microsoft office which to me is so weird on a mac.

Also why do Mac users do nothing but try to talk down windows and yet they use Microsoft's software for their mac???

Why does Microsoft make a Microsoft Office for Mac unstead of Apple making their own office programs???
Further development of Appleworks was cancelled in favor of Apple developing their own office suite, which they now have in the form of iWork, a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation suite, while for database, Apple continues to rely on Filemaker Pro, a formerly Apple-owned product that is now an independent company, with an excellent Mac and Windows product.

Further, Microsoft Word and Excel began as Mac applications before being ported to Windows, and Microsoft Office for Mac has had a dedicated Mac version since the release of Office 98, and continues to be used by many Mac users for ease of sharing documents with Windows users.
Reply:Its because M$ can see an investment in selling mac software lol

And mac users are trying to compensate for their lack of.. well, u know the rest =P
