Microsoft Office 2003 error :(?

I just finished installing Microsoft Office 2003 on my computer, upgrading from 2000, but now when I try opening Microsoft Word an error pops up saying "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002) click on OK to terminate the application". how do i go about fixing this?

Reply:You should totally Office from your computer. First remove 2003. Then remove 2000. Reboot your computer. Run the Disk Cleanup utility (Right click on your hard disk icon, select Properties, then click the Disk Cleanup button). Go into the Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs. Check the list to be sure no Office applications or related programs remain. Now try to install Office 2003.





I had a lot of trouble with upgrading from 2000 to 2003 myself. Only after I took all of the following measures did the installation take.
Reply:Your launch pad and desktop icons may be trying to open the old version which may now be missing files. Delete them. Open Word 2003, (Start, Run winword.exe) to see if it works, then go about adding the desktop/launchpad buttons.
