Does microsoft give back anything to compensate for the red ring of death?

My xbox 360 just crapped out on me bout 2 days ago. And I'm about to send it in and all that good stuff. But my dad told me something that I figured hey why not? He said that it's Microsoft's fault the 360 crapped out that their supposed to fix it for you no matter what. I though this was true and most people would agree. But what about the hassle of sending it in and wait like a month to get it back? I think it's an inconvenience and I know other people must think that way. SO my question is, doesn't Microsoft kind of owe you something for the inconvenience their putting you in? I mean I don't want to sound greedy but I know someone else out there had to be thinking that also. Sure their going to fix it but its their fault it messed up so their supposed to fix it. Do you guys think xbox 360 owners should get something back for the inconvenience that microsoft is putting them through?

the give everyone a 1 month card.
Reply:get a ps3 and leave that junk behind where it belongs just like hd dvd. blu ray and ps3 are 10x better. xbox fans just wont admit their system is crap.
Reply:they really don't... i think they should throw 1600 ms points in the box when they send it back, that would be nice of them.
Reply:luckily mine didnt do that yet

but my freind got the ring of death on theirs

they told microsoft and microsoft had it fixed in 2 weeks

and they gave him 2 free years of x-box live
