I currently have stock with Microsoft but was wondering if it was worthwhile to buy into Yahoo. If Microsft buys out yahoo will that elevate the price of Microsoft or Yahoo or both? Which more?
If Microsoft takes over Yahoo - will that make microsoft's stock higher or Yahoo's?
1) Yes. (MSFT)
2) No. (YHOO will be dead and buried. I mean the STOCK SYMBOL. Not the company)
Example:
MSFT is worth $30.00
YHOO is worth $30.00
In this case you will get one MSFT share for each YHOO share.
Microsoft/Yahoo! will save a gazillion dollars in salaries because they need right now two persons to answer their phones, two persons to open their doors and so on.
They will just fire one and keep one.
You don't need 2 CEOs.
You don't need 2 CFOs.
All the way down to the last employee.
Reply:In general, Microsoft is "bigger" company than Yahoo. Therefore, Microsoft might be more stable than yahoo. Think about this, there is no way for Microsoft to bankrupt since it is so huge. Yahoo is huge too, but in my opinion Mircrosoft's stock worth more.
