Lost Microsoft CD?

We have lost my Microsoft CD but we still have the case, the box and the code. Is there anything we can do?





What happened was, we bought a new computer that did not have Microsoft on it. So we installed it. Then we found out the computer was messed up and we sent it back to the company. We forgot to take out the Microsoft CD. We didnt worry to much because we figured they would fix our computer and send us back the computer with the CD. Well they sent us a new computer. When we called to talk to them about it, they told us there was no CD in the computer. Which is NOT TRUE! HELP ME PLEASE. We can't afford to buy another copy of this CD.

If you have the serial number, simply install the OS off Microsoft website and activate the OS with the serial number you have. No purchase necessary.





ETC Go to any computer shop and let them install the OS for you, and give them your serial number. They will not charge you. Have a great day.
Reply:have you tried calling microsoft? i don't know if they'd help.
Reply:Find someone who has it and copy their CD. Since you still have your key you should be good to go.
Reply:Usually when you buy a computer the OS comes installed.





You can contact Microsoft, they should have you registered when you bought the OS before. Tell them what happened and ask what you can do.





You can't use a copy from somone else, because when you go to put your key in, it will kick it out.
