Microsoft has generated huge employment. But it has made science arbitrary and empirical. Is that good?

Starting from DOS Microsoft products contained lot of contradictions. While they were very particular about their syntax, they violated all syntax and grammar of the English Language. Today speaking formal and correct Engilish is


out of fashion. If language is a mark of the civilisation, then it is declining. If the subject is non mathematical, atleast they should have followed principles of syllogism and Logic. The only mathematical theory applicable - may be chaos theory. It is unfortunate that Microsoft has made maths and science irrelevant.

If Microsoft has done anything good or bad, it is only its great contribution to the advancement of science and technology. It has made science and mathematics more interesting and useful to the society.


Even it has given lots of power to languages like English. However, those who are addicted to the English that the Britishers taught the Indians and continue to lead life in that tradition, will find it difficult to maintain their elitist's status in this Micro-soft Era. Language is not deteriorating. Language has become more powerful because of TV, Internet, telecoms and IT (including Microsoft).


Yes, Microsoft now made many tradition, rigid and flabby English language dependant jobs irrelevant and obsolete. That is a good thing. Language is for communication, understanding and ease.That's what Microsoft has provided: people friendly communication for the masses, making elitist language dependent rent earning classes go out of business. Linguists should better learn mathematics and computer as languages to remain relevant in this era.
Reply:First of all i really really appreciate you've put up a very good and intellectual question about economocs i completely agree with you on monopoly of microsoft and totatlly agree on your correct english i personally don't like short forms used in SMS and CHATTING i could'nt understand if the person replying is using slang or something else.i don't know about economics but one thing is clear atleast to me it is like a circle if anything hinders it the whole circle will go into chaos ,the employment generated by microsoft is negligible because in my view you are benifitting 1000 persons and depriving billions of people who are poor and cannot even afford a P.C. what to say of internet connection it is expensive.if possible try to see the hollywood movie"PIRATES OF SILICON VALLEY"story of Mr. BILL GATES,Mr. STEVE JOBS and other person i don't remember his name .THANKS.
