Why does Microsoft Word keep shutting down when I try to print?

I just installed a new printer, now Microsoft Word keeps shutting down when I try to print. I am so frustrated! The Microsoft website just tells me to upgrade - so that's no help. If this helps, here's some specs:


Microsoft Windows XP


Microsoft Word 2002


Lexmark X6170





It was printing fine last night until I ran my anti-virus program - now everything is messed up. Help please!!

I think this may take some hands-on diagnosis. I never heard of anything like that happening.


Try going to lexmark's site and see if they have an updated print driver for your printer.
