Why Microsoft Co. made a in proper built Xbox 360 console? Now in proper built Xbox 360 HD-DVD player?

I own Xbox 360 for 1 year now. Last summer 06, I had 3 red rings of death %26amp; Microsoft they help me ASAP to send me a new Xbox 360 console. Since then last summer, I do not have any problem with my Xbox 360. I am happy.

I bought myself a Xbox 360 HD-DVD player %26amp; I love it! It would be great if it had HDMI output but, other then that, is good. When I rent "Planet Earth" %26amp; "Hot Fuzz" on HD-DVD format %26amp; both of those movies would not support to my Xbox 360 HD-DVD player %26amp; it is not playable. I contact Microsoft %26amp; you know what they say? They told me that "some" HD-DVD movies would not play or playable to me Xbox 360 HD-DVD player???????? Company' s that make HD-DVD movies would only work on Toshiba HD-DVD player or PC with HD-DVD. I think that BS %26amp; it was a lame excuse of what they told me.

Toshiba %26amp; Microsoft they both partners %26amp; support HD-DVD format. Yes Xbox 360 has good games %26amp; the best. But, I do regret buying the 360 %26amp; I should have bought the PS3.At least they do not deal BS!

Why Microsoft Co. made a in proper built Xbox 360 console? Now in proper built Xbox 360 HD-DVD player?
Microsoft Is very hasty when it comes to releaseing their products, Never buy a Microsoft product right away because the ALWAYS have some sort of bug of problem.
Reply:HD-DVD and Blue Ray are a new technology with a lot of bugs.

However, wishing for Blue Ray and PS3 won't help, as for example the interactive features of the Pirates of the Caribbean Blue Ray won't work on some players.

I think, that in a few days/ weeks/ months there might be a update to the Xbox's player software and your HD DVDs will work.

I'm looking forward to getting Hot Fuzz, too. That movie was awesome!

And regarding Sony not dealing BS:

They are developing BR+. A new Blue Ray format that is supposed to have features that are already availiable on HD DVD (picture in picture for example).

However, current Blue Ray players will be unable to use these new BR+ features.

Furthermore: If some hacker finds a way to rip a Blue Ray Disc with the PS3's Linux for example, the Movie Industry can put revocation keys on new Blue Ray discs.

If you put such a disc into the PS3, the PS3 (as any other Blue Ray player, too) is asked to store the revocation key in it's permanent memory.

This way the PS3 cannot play any Blue Ray movies anymore. Not even your old movies you already bought.

*That* is what I call BS.
Reply:Blame Toshibia is my opinion. They are in charge of the HD-DVD, and are likely the ones that made the player for the 360. Clearly it isn't a software conflict, since they work with PCs, so that means it is a HARDWARE conflict. Microsoft does SOFTWARE. Yes they made the 360, BUT have other people that make it for them. That is why you don't get problems with the PS3 and Blu-Ray. It was BUILT INTO the system and both are done by Sony.
Reply:The Xbox 360 and the HD-DVD were rushed to market before they were ready resulting in tech problems. Hopefully MS will fix the issue with the HD-DVD player/Xbox 360 Console.
Reply:Sell your 360 and Buy a PS3!!!! You should be able to get good money since you have the HD-DVD add on. Sell it on ebay or something.

PS3 rocks. That thing does so much!!!
