My son was uninstalling Microsoft 2007--the trial student version--(not part of it--the student trial version), and all of a sudden it said, "The language of this installation package is not supported by your system." I want to reinstall it again, but when I click on Microsoft Office 2007, then Microsoft Office 2007 Tools, then Microsoft Office 2007 Language Settings, nothing happens. It's like I never even installed Microsoft Office 2007 at all. I can't install this, and I can't even uninstall it because of what I just told you--"The language of this installation package is not supported by your system" keeps coming up every time I try to uninstall it. This is the last time I am going to ask about this and what to do about it. I need some simple answers because I do not know anything technological about computers. Thank you for trying. Please do not give me any answers with technological jargon because I will not understand.
I have an issue with Microsoft 2007 that I need solved ASAP!?
go to microsoft.com and reinstall it. if the same error comes up, install a different version, for example the professional edition. heres the link to download:

office 2003 comsumes less resources than 2007..
hope this help you.
Reply:Have you by any chance bought a version from outside your own country - Microsoft products can be very picky about their usage conditions. To uninstall the product completely - when it has previously failed - is a fairly detailed process if the usual way doesnt work so may I suggest you get a genuinely competent techie friend in to wheedle it all out for you.
Reply:This is a big problem topic on lots of forums. You want a simple answer, but this is a complex problem. There are some things that can be tried that have to do with registry changes, or different installation extractions, but these will be beyond your current skillset, given the details in your question. Your best bet will be to take your computer with the software to a professional.
